The species described on the basis of specimens from Czechoslovakia, was later reported from Poland (Mroczkowski, 1952). In the Zoological Department of the Hungarian National Museum in Budapest, there are specimens from Austria (Wien and Weidlingau) and from Hungary (Budapest, Siófok, Dömsöd and Tihany). Dr. E n d r ő d y's collection contains specimens from two more localities in Hungary : Piliscsaba and Nógrádverőce. Anthrenus fuscus Olivier, 1786. Kuthy mentions only three places from the present area of Hungary. However, this species is quite common there, as is shown by materials form more than 40 Hungarian localities, kept in the Zoological Department of the Hungarian National Museum in Budapest. Anthrenus polonicus Mroczkowski, 1951. A species based on materials from Poland, Roumania and the Ukrainian SSR, and later reported also from Bulgaria (Mroczkowsk i, 1958).
