Mycocoenological survey data (Bohus&Babos 1958) : In the course of coenological surveys, it was found in the following associations, that is, forest types, in the area of the Hungarian Central Mountains : Luzulo-Quercetum subcarpaticum, Luzulo-Quercetum subcarpaticum fagetosum, Luzulo-Quercetum subcarpaticum Dicranum facies, Potentillo-Quercetum (petraea, cerris) pannonicum, Potentillo-Quercetum (petraea, cerris) pannonicum poetosum nemoralis, Querceto petraeae-Carpinetum pannonicum caricetosum pilosae, Querceto petraeae-Carpinetum pannonicum subnudum and in a transitional beech stock. Russula nauseosa Fr. ex Pers. forma flavida J. Schff. A form distinguishable from R. nauseosa by its yellow-colored cap (suggesting R. lutea). There is just one herbarium, and one literature, datum known from Hungary. Herb. : in silva frondosa, 16 July 1958, Kemence valley, Mts. Zemplén, leg. B o h u s & Babos. Lit.: in the Mts. Buda and Gödöllő, Com. Pest (Szemére) Moesz (1942). Russula nigricans Fr. ex Bull. This fungus ranges over almost the whole territory of Europe, frequent in some areas, as also in Hungary. It is bound mainly to the several types of the association Luzulo-Quercetum, occurring in masses in some localities. It occurs sporadically in also other forest associations.
