Papp, J.: The Microgaster Latr., Microplitis Först., and Hygroplitis Thoms. species of the Carpathian Basin (Hymenoptera, Braconidae)

Remarks : Nearest to M. scotica Marsh., differring by punctation and rugulosity of face, mesonotum, and scutellum, and femur 3. ; shape of tergite I. ; and color of legs. Miciogaster deprimator var. subtilipunctata var. n. Differs from nominate form by slight and scarce punctation of face (fig. II. ), vertex hardly punctate, that of temples slighter than even that of face. — Length : 4,5 — 5 mm. Collecting localities : Peer, 1 9 (Holotype), leg. Mocsáry ; Zamárdi, 6 July 1949, 1 çf (Allotype), leg. S o ó s ; Vörs, Kisbalaton, 30 August 1950, 1 çf, leg. Bajári, L. Móczár & Somfai. Remarks : S z é p 1 i g e t i (1896 : 180) and Mocsáry (1897 : 62) publish numerous occurrences of M. deprimator Nees in Hungary. Fahringer (1937 : 339), and T e 1 e n g a (1956 : 197) synonymize Microgaster deprimator Nees with M. deprimator F. I found the M. deprimator Nees specimens identified by the above authors to be M. globata L. At the same time, a specimen of M. subcompleta Nees, identified by Szépligei, proved to be the new variety of M. deprimator F. G y őr fi (1953 : 203) lists M. deprimator F. from Bátorliget, but this too was found to be M. globata L. Microplitis Först., 1862. According to Fahringer (1937) 48 Microplitis species live in the Palearcticum. Of these, he lists two species as "Arten die nicht mit Sicherheit als hieher gehörig zu deuten sind". Of the remaining 48 species, 20 species were collected in the Carpathian Basin up to date, with M. murina, described by Tel en g a (1955:153—154), as the 21. one. Of the 20 species, collected or published hitherto, 10 were found to be synonyms, according to the examinations of Fahringer, Hellén, Telen g a, and my own. Key to species of Microplitis 9 9 and oV 1 (6) Plate of tergite 1. narrow ; 1,8—2 times longer than its median breadth (fig. 10-11.). 2 (3) Scutellum smooth and shiny. Legs mainly brownish black.
