no distinct markings in them (neither dark dots nor lines). Hindwing dark, fuscous grey, ciliae greyish. Near Adkinia stigmatodactyla Z., hut I know of no species in the Adkinia —• Stenoptilia complex with wholly unmarked cüiae. Female genital organ : subgenital plate simple, with a broad mouth and long, narrow posterior portion, ductus moderately long, its fore portion strongly chitinized, bent in a wide and even arch, bursa with two very long, aciculate signa (fig. 4 : C). Holotype female : Hurghada on the Red Sea, Egypt, 4 Nov. 1957. leg. dr. Gozmány (gen. prep. : 1008). Deposited in the Collection of the Hungarian Natural History Museum.
