The single known species of this genus, which infests poultry, occurs in Mexico and the Southwest of the United States. Dr. A. DUGÈS has described it from Guanajuato, Mexico ; and I have received some specimens from Aguas Calientes, also in Central Mexico. Prof. C. H. TYLER TOWNSEND has indicated this species from New Mexico (Las Cruces) and Western Texas.
