Bagnall, R. S.: On a small collection of Thysanoptera from Hungary
VIII. AN X A LES MU SEI NATIONALIS HUNGA RICI. 1910. ON A SMALL COLLECTION OF THYSANOPTERA FROM HUNGARY. By BICHARD S. BAGNALL. (Plate XII.) Amongst the Thysanoptera in the Hungarian National Museum is a small collection of Hungarian forms. Although there are less than three dozen specimens the collection includes several interesting species. When I received it I separated two new and very distinct species, Acanthothrips bidens n. sp., and another which has this year been described in a very interesting paper by Mr. KARNY from Austria under the name of Hindsiania flavicincta ; whilst Zygothrips minutus UZEL and Dendrothrips tiliae UZEL have not been recorded since they were described by Prof. UZEL in 1905. I have had the pleasure, however of finding the last named insect in Norway. Sub-order TUBULIFEBA. Family Phïoeothripidae. 1. Megathrips lativentris (HEEGERI Both sexes found «in arenosis » together with a few larvae at Izsák,. May 21st 1904 ( B ÍRÓ ). They are all brachypterous. 2. Cryptothrips Icarus UZEL, var. pallipes UZEL. There is a single female of the apterous form amongst the Thysanoptera taken by Mr. B ÍRÓ at Bév (May 1st 1904). 3. Anthothrips statices HAL. One female, Izsák, May 21st 1904 (BIRO); one $ Bév, July 1907 ( B ÍRÓ).
