Vomerine teeth in two -^^-like in the middle nearly united series between the choanae, extending beyond the level of the hinder edge of the latter, as BOULENGER'S figure shows. Tympanum rather indistinct, as large as the eye. Fingers and toes pointed. Tibio-tarsal articulation reaching far beyond the tip of the snout Above brown with darker spots; hind limbs cross barred; beneath whitish-brown with waved brown lines ; hinder side of thighs marbled with white. 1 received one specimen from 42 mm. length in a very bad condition. 5. Ac.Philad., 1860,p.517) cannot be placed in the synonymy of this species, because COPE characterises as follows : A very stout form ; a few glandulous elevations between and posterior to the eyes, and upon the anterior part of the back ; two rounded tuberosities on the carpus : femora very stout: tarsus equal to the fore arm in length; two metatarsal tubercles tiped with brown ; metatarsus not tuberculous ; a blotch extending from eye to 14*
