ISBN 978 963 87 4446 3 The Open Structures Art Society (OSAS) —mainly following the curatorial concept of Dóra Maurer —has had its third year of exhibitions in the Vasarely Museum of the Museum of Fine Arts, Budapest. Issues dealt wdth by the thematic exhibitions staged so far have included light and movement, colour and conceptuality. Each exhibition was acompanied by an informative, illustrated catalogue. The WMhelm-Hack-Museum in Ludwigshafen was the first venue of the exhibition entitled Exemplification as Art, organised by OSAS in conjunction with the St. Johann Gallery and Publishers in Saarbrücken, and opened in November 2007. This material was extended by the directors of the Hungarian exhibition. The participants —Jo Enzweiler, Sigurd Rompza, HansJörg Glattfelder, Vera Molnár, Ewerdt Hilgemann, Hejio Hangen, Ben Muthofer, Yves Popet, Hiromi Akiyama, John Carter, Dirk Rausch, Klaus Staudt, Peter Weber —are all well known artists on the international concrete art scene. The group formed by these artists over forty years ago takes part in the (art) theory research projects of the University of Saarbrücken with thematic exhibitions. In line with the exhibition catalogue's study by Dietfried Gerhardus
