JÚLIA TÁTRAI AND LÁSZLO LENGYEL: Archduke Albert († 1621) on the Catafalque: A Picture of Old-New Acquisition
Watercolour by Archduchess Maria Christina (1742-1798) depicting the archducal couple around 1780, during their period of governing the Austrian Netherlands. The portrait depicts Albert sitting by a writing desk and next to him is Maria Christina dressed in the attire of the Franciscan Third Order. Mallery had a close relationship with the Galle family of engravers and publishers family.
