The date of its creation is placed at 1631. In our opinion, the Budapest draw­ing can be dated to the end of the twenties, ca. 1629. Its structural arrangement and mode of composition can be measured against the Realm of Flora, considered the chef-d-œuvre of his early period, whose chosen structural arrangement represents an even more perfect resolution, a summit. One can observe in both works that contrary to the slightly wider, looser grouping on the left-hand side, the figures of the right-hand side constitute a narrower and denser group, with the principal figure in the central space, placed slightly to the right of centre, while the compositional role of the background motifs is exactly the same: on the left, they completely occupy the height of the picture field, while on the right, they are lower and airier.
