BUDAPEST, MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS DOKATHISMATA FIGURE (FIGS. 18—21) 18 The surface of the figure made of whitish grey marble with some dark patches is covered with yellowish red patina. The detached head was stuck back to the upper part of the neck. The upper right corner of the top oi the head has broken off. The left foot is missing. The figure has a shield-shaped head tilted slightly upward. Its nose is somewhat long and curved. Its shoulders are broad and sloping. The base of the neck broadening downward is indicated with a V-shaped groove on the front and on the back. The forearms taper in a curve. The fingers are not marked. The belly is slightly protruding. The pubic triangle below was marked with an incised line. The groove separating the legs bends somewhat to the left. The knees are indicated by the slight swelling of the surface, while the ankle-joints are marked by short incisions. The three short incisions on the elongated foot represent four toes. On the back, the line of the spine is connected to the groove that separates the legs.
