spot: one is on the body of the vase under the shoulder by 3.5 mm; the other is on the shoulder of the lekythos, between the neck and the spot ca. 2 mm away from the spot (fig. 17). Both holes are irregular and cylindrical. The clay is flaked off at the edge of the hole under the shoulder. A crack crosses this hole, indicating that it was made earlier than the pieces were stuck together. The holes are 3 mm (on the body) and 2.5 mm (on the shoulder) in diam­eter.
