Ferenc Tóth has prepared a bilingual catalogue of the collection of modern painting that was presented to the Museum by the English collector Bryan Montgomery. The most important joint publication of the staff of the Museum was the collection of essays edited by Zsuzsa Dobos and published in honour of Klára Garas on occasion of her 80 th birthday. The volume, whose authors included several outstanding Hungarian and foreign scholars, appeared in foreign languages. During the year, there was a change in the editorial board of the journal of the Museum: the editors Zsuzsa Gonda and Mária Illés were replaced by Vilmos Tátrai and Loránd Zentai.
