VI Great Plains - VI-9 Windmill from Dusnok
VI II VI-9 Windmill, Dusnok The dates 1885 and 1888 are carved on the cogwheel and the support beam of its shaft. Oral tradition claims that the mill was first built in the Miskei-Puszta and later rebuilt in Dusnok. In 1926 the windmill was bought from its former owner by János Koprivánacz, who had made money in America and tried to improve his family's living conditions by buying the mill. Unfortunately, by this time windmills had become outdated and were not profitable because of the competition from more advanced mills. The mill continued to operate as recently as 1950 and was then used to grind animal fodder before being convert-
