Wf A A jt 4 a $SS§1 ¥ I the Baroque hunting-seat of the Orczy family are preparing for an important ceremony. In the U­shaped house two families were living in the early l880s. The first quarter was occupied by the house-owner; a wheelwright and wine-grower and his family. In the back part a highly skilled vine-dresser lived with his family, he belonged to the famous hoers of Gyöngyös. On the bed in the first room lies a pink silk christen­ing blanket with a transparent em­broidered small pillow cloth Jj beside. On the table wound up linen tied with a pink rib­bon and a little wooden box can be found with a laced handker­chief and two small earrings in­side. These objects are the chris­tening gifts for a baby born in the neighbourhood. The young cou­ple asked the affluent craftsman and his wife to be godparents.
