In this home the table in always spread with a tablecloth, not only on holidays, and the Bible is kept on it; there is also a jug for drinking water covered with a tiny cloth made for the purpose. There is a linen cloth with interwoven patterns on the cupboard where stand a row of colourful factory-made mugs and glasses of Párád (111. 26.). On the plate-rack, there are earthenware flowered plates from Nagy­bánya, and also the more highly appreciated factory-made gaudy ones. The spoons are kept in a ladle-holder of fine workmanship, among them brightly polished copper ones. Over the bed hangs the portrait of a historical personage, in this case Zsuzsanna Lorántffy. The atmosphere of the whole room proves that though housework has to be preformed here, the endeavour is to make the room appear as „best room", or „clean room" („tiszta szoba") as it is often called.
