Ecological farming (ecological or organic farming) is such a - from environmental and economic viewpoint - sustainable form of farming, which is based on restoring the natural ways of food production and on creating a harmony between man and environment. It is not a new method but such an agricultural form, which was totally implemented till the end of the 18th century and in the peasants' farming till the middle of the 20th century. It avoids materials and technologies, which harm health and environment, like the use of pesticides, genetic manipulations and hormone treatment. It is a farming based on natural, biological cycles. The agriculture faced many problems during the last century and decades, but the interests of both, environment and economy have to be considered when implementing solutions. This does not mean a return to the past but the use of traditional methods, modern technologies and scientific renewals together
