THE OPEN AIR EXHIBITION OF THE ETHNOGRAPHIC MUSEUM OF TRANSYLVANIA

Present thesis aims to provide insight into a life of Transylvanian ethnographic open-air museum: into the foundation of history and circumstances of the operation and the vicissitudes. This open-air museum is operating as a section of Ethnographic Museum of Transylvania in Cluj. Review is also necessary because of the excellent Hungarian ethnographer Károly KOS has worked for

decades on the outdoor section of the institution and its academic and professional operation. Accordingly, this study describes the outdoor exhibition of the Ethnographic Museum of Transylvania, the work of Károly KOS and especially the szekler house which is located in Cluj open-air museum.

Diese Studie gewährt Einblick ins Leben eines Freilichtmuseums in Siebenbürgen: behandelt werden die Gründungsumstände, die Betriebszustände und die Änderungen. Dieses Freilichtmuseum wird als eine Abteilung des Ethnographischen Museums Siebenbürgens in Klausenburg (Cluj) betätigt. Es soll erwähnt werden, dass der hervorragende ungarische Ethnograph, Károly Kós Jahrzehnte lang in der Freilichtabteilung des

Museums gearbeitet hat, wie auch an ihrem wissenschaftlichen und professionellen Betätigungsfeld. Die Studie beschreibt die Freilichtausstellung des Ethnographischen Museums Siebenbürgens, die Tätigkeiten von Károly Kós und besonders das Székler- Haus im Freilichtmuseum in Klausenburg (Cluj).
