Benkő Andrea: A Guide to Petőfi Literary Museum (Budapest, 2009)
Information
www.pim.hu Our website contains the history of the Károlyi Palace and the Petőfi Literary Museum, describes our collections, services and international relations and provides other important information. If you want to attend our programmes in order to practice your Hungarian, please refer to the Events on the Hungarian site. The museum's website is the most important means of our communication. You can reach some subsites from there as well, for example the site that deals with Márai's legacy and the reception of his oeuvre including the related events all over the world. The museum website also provides information about our online broadcasts and virtual exhibitions (e.g. Troubles and Creed, the 1956 Revolution in Literature). Besides, we offer some IT services such as the most popular Hungarian Biographical Index, a database of 600 000 names, which similarly to the World Biographical Index set up by K.G.Saur Verlag, gives information about well-known Hungarians and sources of information in Hungary and abroad. The website was awarded first prize as a most user- friendly site at the „eFestival Hungary 2006"organised by the Hungarian Association of Content Industry. 35
