Lepeshinskaya’s New Cell Biology was a brief episode that created much stir temporarily in Hungária but disappeared quickly without much after effect save the spectacular career of one, who embraced it early and rejected it soon thereafter. This compromise did enable Imre Törő to act as an effective promoter of Hungarian biology all his life.
