U. 7/9 Ungern Dear Sir, Ue have now found the original histopathological slides of Mr . Mihály Babi ts. These slides have been reevaluated thoroughfully by Docent Claes Si 1 fverswa'rd at the Department of Pathology of the Karolinska Hospital and Institute. In our opinion there is no doubt that Mr. Babits had a salivary gland tumour, a HU i Le ni'jhly úiffe: fciitiüteú adenoid cystic carcinoma with cribriform structures. Because of the local Ration close to the thyroid region, the most probable origin of the tumour are the salivary glands of the trachea or possibly hypopharynx. It is not our opinion that Mr. Babits had a primary thyroid tumour. I hope this is the information you requested and needed.
