The basic works are the catalogues of the collections of Brettauer, Storer and Faludi respectively, E. Holzmair's survey of the pharmaceutical medals of the Brettauer collection, a study of Géza Faludi on pharmaceutical medals, and Gyula Varannai's two lists of the commemorative medals of the Hungarian physicians and pharmacists. In addition to giving literary references in the short descriptions we have tried to list all the pictures, emblems, legends or parts of legends which testify the pharmaceutical bearing of the medal.
