The Pharmaceutic Historical Library "József Ernyey" and the pharmacy "Arany Sas" (Golden Eagle), opened in the recent past as a permanent exposition for the history of pharmacy, belong to the organisation of the "Semmelweis" Medical Historical Museum, Library and Archives. The unity of both disciplines

—finds an expression in this volume of our Communicationes too. In this special number for the history of pharmacy we will show the results of the pharmaceutic historical researches in Hungary, worthily of the place of this discipline within the history of medicine. We hope to contribute hereby also to the recognition and appreciation toward the history of pharmacy. * Zur Organisation des „Semmelweis" Medizinhistorischen Museums, Bibliothek und Archivs gehören die Pharmaziegeschichtliche Bibliothek „József Ernyey" und die neulich eröffnete Apotheke „Arany Sas" (Goldener Adler), die als ständige Ausstellung eine pharmaziegeschichtliche Abteilung des Museums darstellt. Im vorliegenden Band unserer Communicationes kommt ebenfalls die Einheit beider Disziplinen — Medizin- und Pharmaziegeschichte — zum Ausdruck. In diesem Spezialband für Pharmaziegeschichte werden — gebührend der Stelle, die Pharmaziegeschichte innerhalb der Medizingeschichte einnimmt — die Erfolge der heimischen pharmaziegeschichtlichen Forschungen vorgeführt. Wir hoffen, auch damit zur Anerkennung und Schätzung dieses Zweiges der Medizingeschichte beitragen zu können. Itt mondunk köszönetet mindazoknak, akik a kötet kiadását elősegítették, elsősorban dr.
