The next authentic portrait shows Semmelweis among the professors of the Medical Faculty of the University (of Pest) in April, 1863. The lithography was made by József Marastoni. One copy is held by the Semmelweis Medical Historical Museum [12]. VII. The full-figure photo of Ignác Semmelweis must have been taken at the end of 1863, there is no original left. It was first published by Gusztáv Dirner [13]. Here Semmelweis is again bearded and shows a sudden ageing in contrast with the Marastoni picture. VIII. There is a variant of the above picture from 1863. The original photo is in the Semmelweis Medical Historical Museum. It was first reproduced by István Benedek with the approval of the Museum [14]. IX. The last picture of Ignác Semmelweis was taken in Vienna ("L. Angerer, K. K. Hof Photograph, Wien") in 1864. The family gave it to its present owner, III. IV. Semmelweis 1858-ban.
