MÁRTON KEMÉNY Progressive economic interests and maintenance of tradition. Case studies from Voivodina This study aims to show with the help of micro regional study how continuity that can be observed in the family histories of vine-grovers and economic patterns are interrelated in the Voivodina. In the peasants' economy family heritage and traditional patterns dominate, modernisation plays criti­cal role only in satisfying of newly arising needs. Entrepreneurs in winery base their economy on financial wealth and knowledge but in order to gain market advantage they take part in the local discussion about tradition, together with stakeholders in village and ecotourism.
