PETI LEHEL: Identitásmodelláló tényezők a moldvai csángó falvakban

LEHEL PETI Hungarians and Csángó in Moldavia issues of identity formation The effects of the issue Csángó that acquired an almost mythic role in Hungarian publicity have been recognised by the local people as foreign impact. The continuous presence of Hungarian and Romanian Csángó "savers" divided the community's identity and caused latent conflicts. This study shows the structure, techniques and effects of impacts, and the reactions of the local residents. It aims to argue that the local Csángó experienced the foreign interest in their culture and identity as an interest in an uncivilised way of life. The activity of the Csángó savers effected at the same the residents' identity in that it contradicted their former and generally accepted "collective amnesia", according to which language change and assimilation to the majority was the most desirably cultural value.
