Summary - Path of life in Besenyőtelek - Born at the turn of the century (P. Szuhay E. Örszigethy)

of the subjects told their biographies is the time sequence, starting from birth up to the present day. The subjects have all tried to argue for their lives, and sometimes our attempts to give leading questions were made in vain. We wanted to concentrate on events, peoples and experiences which had the greatest impact on the philosophy of the subjects. It is our posterior experience that very often basic experiences turn into legends of fate, and the biographies composed of apparently insignificant events obtain strange reflection when considered in a perspective, when remembered today. No matter how much we tried to describe events objectively, often we saw the elements of reality transformed into myths. People have tried to formulate the sense of the years they lived through, the years of their sufferings. This generation, which presents a full, a „practically" finished life had the strongest tendency to create legends. At the time we compiled the collection two of the subjects were already dead and a third has lost his ability to speak, becoming a cripple. . . Péter Szuhay - Erzsébet Örszigethy
