LATE ROMAN MONEY CIRCULATION IN SOUTH-PANNONIA

SUMMARY The following tendencies were observed by the analyses of the bronze coins of South-Panno­nia between the years A.D. 324-378: 1. There is difference in the monetary circulation of the individual types of sites. 2. The monetary circulation of the various types of Sites is decisively influenced by: a: the period under survey b: the destination of the amount of coins c: the geographic position of the site - road networks. 3. The administrative location of the individual sites does not influence monetary circulation. 4. At each phase of monetary circulation (keeping in mind the overlapping of annual intervals) the economic-legalhistorical conditions of the Empire as well as of the province should be taken into consideration in a complex manner. 5. Monetary circulation of all periods is directed and regulated by the imperial administration in accordance with the actual needs of the given historical-economic situation. I ] 54-
