RIC V/lI. 2o7, 286, 287 are the dates before there was au minting in Siscia RIC VI. 455. 293-294 gold minting in Siscia. V. "A COIN HOARD FROM BRIGETIO" Roman coins in a vessel were found in 1885 in Szőny, north of the Roman military camp in the grape growing area between the highway and the Danube. The find included gold medalions, aurei and 46 denarii. /Hampel, J. : A coin hoard from Brigetio. Arch. Ert. New Series. II. (I89l), 35o-352./ According to Hampel the golds and eight denarii got to the Numismatic Department of the Hungarian National Museum. The identifications of these are given in his paper. This is not correct though, because only the golds are catalogued there under inv. no. Io4. 1884. Later it was found that the hoard included more than the ones mentioned above. Some pieces, thus two gold medalions were lost. One found its way to the Trau Collection, the other to the Collection of Bachofen von Echt.
