H: 6.9 cm, W: 5.7 cm. Inv. 132.1872.B. 849. FEMALE HEAD MADE OF IVORY (LXXXIV. 849.) Unknown. Strongly worn female head carved from ivory. The sculpture is broken on both sides revealing traces of iron. On the neck and the base of the sculpture metallic discolouration can be seen. L: 4.7 cm. Inv. 54.66.22. 850. STATUETTE OF AUTUMNUS (BACCHUS) (LXXXV/I-III. 850.) Szombathely (Vas County). Ivory statuette representing Autum­nus (formely taken as Bacchus). Rep­resentation of a standing child. The weight is placed on the right leg, its left knee is somewhat bent. The head is slightly turned to the left. The naked body is covered only at the breast by the animal skin thrown over the shoulder. The animal skin is tied on the right shoulder with the legs of the skinned animal covering the left shoulder and the outer side of the arm. The head of the animal is hanging from the right shoulder to the breast. The hide is airy and the head recalls a dogs head. The leg hints at a double-hoofed animal. The head of the child is covered by curly hair, which is fait except for the forehead decorated with a wreath of leaves and clusters of grapes. The right arm is missing from its middle part. So is the right shin. The leg is missing from knee and the upper part is also incom­plete. Some bone plates are missing from the left arm and a section is also missing from the head. BONE OBJECT TERMINATING IN A RING, WITH FEMALE FIGURE AT THE OTHER END (DISTAFF) (LXXXVI. 851.) Unknown. At the enpd of the bone object traces of an arch of a ring can be seen. At the other end a female figure is carved, holding her child. She is standing under a fruit tree, (pine or pineapple), the child is lying on her left arm while on her right she is holding the fruit of the tree before the child. Her hair is falling in long plaits on both shoulders, and on the top of her head a high ornamental knot can be seen. The female figure is naked, the trace of a cut on her belly starting from the navel is well discernible. L: 18.1 cm. Inv. 54.66.12. 852. BONE OBJECT TERMINATING IN A RING WITH A FEMALE FIGURE AT THE OTHER END (DISTAFF) (LXXXVI. 852.) Unknown. At one end of the bone object remains an oval fragment of a ring. At the other end a female figure holding her child is carved. The woman is holding her child in her clasped hands. Her hair is falling in long plaits on both shoulders, and on the top of her head a high decorative knot can be seen. The female figure is naked the trace of a cut on her belly starting from the navel upwards is well discernible. Near her left leg a cloth covered is vis­ible. The reverse of the sculpture is schematical and flat. L: 18.8 cm. Inv. 54.66.13 and 15. 853. PIN WITH FEMALE FIGURE (LXXXVII. 853.) Unknown. The female figure is represented in the characteristic Aphrodite-pose. One hand is before her breast, with the other she is holding the cloth wound on her hip. Her head is broken. The whole representation is highly simplified. L: 9.9 cm. Inv. 54.66.9. 854. FRAGMENT OF BONE OBJECT WITH A HUMAN FIGURE (LXXXVII. 854.) Dunapentele (Fejér County). On the top of the bone object the fragment of a standing figure on pedestal. The lower part of a long, folded cloak has survived. L: 9.4 cm. Inv. 45.1909.3.
