Vilmos Aba-Novák and Ernő Jeges visit István Szőnyi at Zebegény in the beginning of the year. In early 1925, Vilmos Aba-Novák and Ernő Jeges visit István Szőnyi in Zebegény. From May to October, Vilmos AbaNovák, Kató and Károly Patkó work at Felsőbánya (Baia Sprie, Romania) in the company of Emil Kelemen, Lajos Fonó, Ernő Bánk and Oszkár Nagy. Vilmos Aba-Novák is awarded a Szinyei travel grant; he is also the winner of the Szinyei Society's Mihály Zichy Graphics Award. Vilmos Aba-Novák and Kató Vulkovics get married. On October 1 7, shortly after her return from Italy, Erzsébet Korb dies in Budapest. Beginning with this year István Szőnyi teaches at the Belváros Free School (Budapest's central district). In January In addition to Aba-Novák and Szőnyi, Farkas Molnár and Jenő Gábor are among the artists who take part in KUT's second exhibition held in March. In March Szőnyi has fifteen of his works shown at the exhibition featuring the winners of Szinyei Society's awards; also Aba-Novák, Patkó, Jeges, Paizs Goebel, Deli and Barcsay take part. In May Erzsébet Korb exhibits her works in the gallery La Fiamma of Rome. The Nude Exhibition held in the Palace of Art in December features, besides works by Szőnyi, Aba-Novák and Patkó, several compositions by the then deceased Erzsébet Korb; with his painting At the Peak Szőnyi wins the Youth Award of the exhibition. In November, Paizs Goebel and Korda take part in the XVIth exhibition of the artists association Kéve, which is held in the National Salon. In July, Paizs Goebel has his individual show at the Galerie du Zodiaqe of Paris. The Hungarian Etching Society have their traveling exhibition in the United States [Cleveland, Baltimore, New York, Los Angeles). The Budapest Museum of Fine Arts acquire István Szőnyi's At the Peak and Erzsébet Korb's Revelation through donation. The Italian-Hungarian commercial agreement is concluded on September 5. Kuno Klebelsberg gives a lecture on the cultural mission of Hungary at the University of Berlin on October 20. Ernő Kállai publishes his Uj magyar piktúra 1900-1925 (New Hungarian Painting i 900-i '925) in Hungarian in Budapest and in German (Neue Malerei in Ungarn) Leipzig. Máriusz Rabinovszky publishes his book entitled Az új festészet története i 770- i 925 ( The History of New Painting i 770i 925]. Mihály Babits publishes his essay, Ujklasszicizmus [Neo-Classicism) in Nyugat. The Pál Szinyei Merse Society launches the art magazine Magyar Művészet [Hungarian Art); its editor-in-chief is Pál Majovszky. The Hungarian avant-garde magazine Periszkóp [Periscope) is launched in Arad (Romania), its editor-in-chief is György Szántó. Ödön Palasovszky opens his dadaist theatre called Zöld Szamár [Green Donkey) . 192Ó In Spring, Vilmos Aba-Novák travels in Italy and Switzerland, with visits to Paris and Vienna, on the Szinyei Society's travel grant won in f he previous year. In February, Jenő Paizs Goebel travels to Nagybánya and stays there until October. In January István Szőnyi takes part in the Second Exhibition of the Szinyei Society in the Ernst Museum. In February, Aba-Novák, Patkó, Szőnyi and Tarjáni Simkovics have an exhibition in the Hungarian Etching Workshop. Kunó Klebelsberg gives a lecture on the past and future of Italian-Hungarian cultural relations at the University of Rome on March 1 6.
