The work is a peak in Károly Ferenczy's early period showing signs of the influence of Bastien Lepage. Imre Szobotka: Walls in Buda, 1920. Oil on canvas, 70 x 60 cm. Inv.no.: 96.11. A representative work of Szobotka's early, cubistic period. This period is represented by a single work in the collection, hence the picture supplied a sore want. Three watercolours entitled Architecture by one of the forgotten figures of the avantgárdé Pécs Artists Circle active around 1920, Lajos Tarai (Cacinovic) are rarities today (F.9 1.18-20). Margit Anna's portfolio fills a large gap in the collection of prints as a gift of the Museum of Fine Arts and the 20th Century Foundation (Inv.nos: G.9 1.13/1-3/). In the collection of posters, outstanding is the newly acquired Baeder Ovenall by Győző Szilas, around 1947. The entire material of the exhibition of Ferenc Baráth's collected works was donated by the artist to the collection. They are all high-level products of contemporary graphic art in the 1980s (inv.nos. The collection of secessionist drawings was enlarged by 4 drawings and a sketchbook by Attila Sassy (Aiglon) (inv.nos: F.92. 76-92.80), via purchase. A choice acquisition of the collection of prints is the late 18th century Memorial leaf of Prince Coburg 's battle at Martinestye, a rarity in the history of techniques. It was a donation (G.92.1).
