ÖSSZEGZÉS

Az átnézett iratanyag kapcsán sok minden ismertté vált Erdélyi Mór fotográfusnak a Magyar Királyi Mezőgazdasági Múzeumhoz köthető tevékenységéről. A tervbe vett gyűjteményi katalógus történeti bevezető része rámutat a legfontosabb feladat elvégzésére: azaz egy repertórium összeállítása, amely az Eredeti Fényképek gyűjteményében teljeskörűen regisztrálja Erdélyi Mór fotográfiáit. Ezt követően folytatódhat a Magyar Mezőgazdasági Múzeum múzeumtörténeti irattári anyagának előzetes átvizsgálását követő azonosító munka, amelynek eredményeként - reményeink szerint - megtörténhet Erdélyi Mór eredeti fényképfelvételeinek meghatározása.

ÉVA VÖRÖS

The study presents the works of Mór Erdélyi, who was one of the most important photographers in the first decades of the 19th—20th century. These works are held by the Museum of Hungarian Agriculture.

The photographer had a permanent working relationship with the museum starting from the first years after the establishment of our institution. He was often asked to photograph not only the building, but the exhibitions as well. Several written sources provide evidence of the fact that photographs of the museum were requested from abroad (for example from Russia, England, or Argentina), and Mór Erdélyi was commissioned by the museum's management to prepare these photos. A number of his agriculture related photographs, taken using photographic techniques characteristic of that period, can be found in our collection. The subject of these photos are agricultural exhibitions and related opening ceremonies, various agricultural tasks, prize winning livestock breeds, and the homes and workshops of agricultural workers.

The study provides a detailed review of the information related to the photographer's life and oeuvre, which can be found in the documents kept in the Museum Records collection of the Museum of Hungarian Agriculture.
