GYŰJTEMÉNYEK - Takáts Rózsa: Az Agrártörténeti Iratok Gyűjteményének története

During the rearrangement of the museum in 1934 unfortunately the tendency of donating the objects and documents not having been displayed at the exhibitions to agricultural education- and research-institutes was rising. That time the selection derived the collections from several objects and documents which mirrored the economical state of the time of establishment. Further damages were caused by bomb hits during the war and by the „illicit collecting actions" on the damaged building which were piled on by the uncertain state of the institute after 1945 and the division of the building with co-tenant institutes. Actually, the organized collecting work could start in the mid-1950's. The aim of the museum was put into shape again in 1963 when the institute was designated as agrarian research institute and in this the investigation of the agrarian past won an important role such as the development of the historical collections. That time a collection network was developed containing 5 to 6 persons, mostly teachers, scientists and farmers who enriched the collection with especially valuable documents. The museum law of 1963 established the Database and ruled the register order in the museum collections which did not contain objects. After mentioning the known museologists having been in charge of the database unit earlier, the study presents the documentary value of the collection with a few words. MMgMA VII/
