ENDRE TOTH - GABOR KEPES: OUTSTANDING GROUPS OF OBJECTS IN THE COLLECTION OF HISTORY OF MATHEMATICS AND HISTORY OF COMPUTER SCIENCE IN THE HUNGARIAN MUSEUM FOR SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY The study presents, embedded in general outlines of the history of informatics, the collection of history of mathematics and computer science as formed and developed in the course of several decades. On the basis of age and function, technical construction and all the rest of properties a collection consisting of several bigger groups is being shaped - relying on the natural logics of the history of mathematics - from hundreds of extremely different objects that is able to present characteristic tools and relics from every important scientific epoch. The problems related to the preservation of mass-produced PC-s belong to the topic of research into our age. In the study we can also read about the constructions of László Kozma, Árpád Klatsmányi and Marcell Jánosi as special objects, outstanding from the aspect of the Hungarian history of informatics. At the same time the study gives an overview of the exhibitions on related topics as organized by the Hungarian Museum of Science and Technology and with its co-operation,respectively, among others on the Neumann centenary and some of its events.
