DIETER HOFFMANN: HEVESY GYÖRGY ÉS JOHANN BÖHM KAPCSOLATA LEVELEZÉSÜK TÜKRÉBEN A közlemény Hevesy György és a német-cseh fizikai kémikus Johann Böhm kapcsolatát tárgyalja eredeti levelek alapján, melyek e helyen jelennek meg először. Lényegében Hevesy freiburgi tartózkodására vonatkozó adatokat tartalmaz. Böhm nemcsak Hevesy tanársegéde volt, hanem a freiburgi fizikai kémiai intézet megalapítója és Hevesy ottani legszorosabb munkatársa. A levelek 1926—1935 közötti időből származnak. A két kutató gyümölcsöző együttműködésének a hitlerizmus vetett véget, amikor mindketten elhagyták Németországot. A cikk rövid életrajzát is adja a két kutatónak. DIETER HOFFMANN: GEORGE VON HEVESY AND JOHANN BÖHM — TO THE BIOGRAPHY AND THE RELATIONS OF BOTH SEEN THROUGH THEIR CORRESPONDENCE The relations between Geroge von Hevesy and the German-Czech physical chemist Johann Böhm are described on the base of the correspondence of both. The letters, which are published here for the first time, show essential aspects of Hevesy's Freiburg period and Böhms important role during this time. Böhm was not only a simple Privatdozent of the Freiburg university and assistant of G. v. Hevesy. But most of all the organizer of the reconstruction of Freiburg's Physical-Chemical Institute and Hevesy's closest collaborator. The paper is focused mainly on the Freiburg period in the life of the scientists — the years between 1926 and 1935 —, but a short sketch of Hevesy's career and a more detailed biogprahy of J. Böhm is given. The end of the fruitful team-work in Freiburg and the second half of their life in general were determined by the German fascism. Both resigned from their charges and left Germany. G. v. Hevesy went to Copenhagen and J. Böhm returned in his Chech homeland, where he held a professorship at the German university of Prague.
