SUMMARY GYULA BATARI: ABOUT JANOS JOO'S INDUSTRIAL PERIODICAL THE „HETILAPOK" (WEEKLY PAPERS) Janos Job, the editor of one of the earliest industrial papers published in Hungary learned, after finishing his secondary school studies, several crafts. He was appointed to be teacher in the Eger school of design and head of the printing office of the school in 1829. In the 30s and 40s he wrote several articles on problems concerning industry, education and national economics proposed to reorganis the Hungarian educational system. In 1838 he established his industrial paper: Weekly papers for the diffusion of crafts and other useful knowledge.
