TANULMÁNYOK - Vass Tibor: Az Ózdi Kohászati Üzemek jogelődjeinek pecsétnyomói

A bemutatott pecsétnyomókból megállapítható, hogy míg a Murányi Unió, a Rimái Coalicio és a Rimamurányvölgyi Vasmű Egyesület nyomólap címerei a földesúri, a nemesi címerdíszeket utánozza, az 1845-ből származó Gömöri Vasművelő Egyesület-i viszont már a reformkor nemzeti mozgalmát tükrözi. A Rimái Coalicio „RC" monogrammal ellátott nyomólapján már az ipari forradalom jellegét, a kézi szerszám mellett a kezdetleges gépi megmunkálás látható. A Rimamurány-Salgótarjáni Vasmű Rt. 1881-es nyomólapja már az ipari munkást juttatja eszünkbe. A pecsétnyomók tehát egyben a környék vasiparának fejlődéstörténetét is ábrázolják. IRODALOM 1. VASS: SEALS OF THE PREDECESSORS OF THE ÓZD METALLURGICAL WORKS On the 9th of November 1962 a branch of the Friernds of the Museums Circle of Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County was founded in Ózd. Among others a group for factory history was formed. It is regarded as one of their main tasks to collect the seals of the legal predecessors of the Ózd Metallurgical Works. As a result of the diligent collecting work of several years 29 seals were collected. There are some duplicates as well. At present there are 39 seals in the posession of the Ózd Museum of Metallurgical Factory History. 24 of these are presented here. Most of the seals made of metal and used for wax impression are armoried, have a Latin or Hungarian inscription. All refer to the iron production of Ózd and its surroundings. The arms of the seals of 1808, 1910 and 1852 imitate the heraldry of the seals of the country nobles. One from 1845 reflects the influence of the national movement of the reform period, one from 1881 however reminds us of the ondusrial workers. Thus the seals represent the history of the iron industry of the nieghborhood as well.
