Showroom of the Postal Museum mary importance is to study the history of communication not only in a retrospective way, but to follow contemporary development, or even future progress as far as possible. The first Coach Museum in Hungary has been established in Parâd, Northern Hungary. The exhibition follows man's first attempts in the Neolithic to move heavy loads with the help of heavy sticks, giving a rich illustrative documentation on communication in the Ancient and Middle Ages, continued with coaches of the AustroHungarian Monarchy, and the appearance of the stage coach. Full-scale coaches and carts as wel as the models there of used in various regions of Hungary are displayed. Saddles, harnesses, coach lamps, whips and the ornamented attire of liveried coachmen complete the show. The exhibition tells about the coach industry, too. The first newly established special museum, opened in 1955 was the Postal Museum, one of the most frequently visited technical museums.
