TANULMÁNYOK - Bogdán István: A diósgyőri papírgyár első évszázada (1802–1900)

The mill worked with 1 tank paper-tub and 7 workers, its production was 60 t of paper in 1846. About 1880 Kolba reconstructed it to a factory working with one paperconverter of cylindrical sieve. The number of workers was 36 in 1883, 45 in 1896. Its yearly production of paper amounted to 160 t in 1885, but 220 t at the end of the century. The quality of the paper produced in Diósgyőr was adequate to the national average at first, but later on, towards the end of the century, they reached a quality which, on the World's Fair — 1900 in Paris won them a golden medal. The watermark of the mill was a combination of the geographical place-name and the mark of papertype. Kolba started only to use the now-a-days well known watermark •with a pair of oak and, Turkey oak branches in the last years of the century.
