The collection of photo negatives of the Museum contains more than 100.000 pieces, from which the glass plates represent only a small part, but their culture historical value is significant. The Museum established its photo negative collection at the end of the 1950s. Till the beginning of the 1960s mainly glass plates were inventorized, only occasionally turned up celluloid films. The majority of the glass plates had been prepared in the 1930s, the determination of their theme is in many cases imperfect and inaccurate and their origin is uncertain, like the person who made them. In our Year-Book XI we disclosed the catalogue of glass plates concerning railway and shipping, and in our Year-Book XII the catalogue concerning roads, bridges, road vehicles and urban traffic. Our present Year-Book (XIII.) summarizes the catalogue of glass plates concerning aviation including the themes of balloons, airship engineers and pilots, helicopters and events. 395
