János Szeibert: "The Shipbuilding In Hungary Between 1945 and 1962". The Author demonstrates the activity of the Hungarian shipbuilding industry from the end of the 2nd World War till the reorganisation of this industry in 1962. The paper-recounts in its introduction the losses suffered by our fleet and its infrastructure during the 2nd World War. Following that the paper informs the reader about the history of the Dockyard of Óbuda, the Dockyard Ganz, the Dockyard of Balatonfüred and the Dockyard of Vác, demonstrating the products and qualitative and quantitative results of these plants. The period is closed by the establishment of the Hungarian Shipyard and Crane Factory uniting the four shipyards mentioned. Csaba Domonkos: "Press Relations And Attendance Of The Transport Museum in 1998." In the introducing part of his paper the Author analyses and summarises the activities of the recent years concerning the press relations and public relations. From the analysis of the attendance it turns out that mainly the number of the individual visitors decreased. To halt the decrease a systematic, daily relation has been established with the written and electronic press. The editors receive preedited news and information, which can be published almost unchanged. In case of intermittent exhibitions it is regarded as important to draw the attention of the public not only to the opening of an exhibition, but even more to the exhibition itself while it is open. The positive effect of the press relation system introduced in 1998 could be experienced by both the number of press publications and the increment of the attendance of the museum. Jolán Barkoczi: "The Railway Officers And Their Journals In The Austro-Hungarian Monarchy". The Author demonstrates in the introducing part of her paper the social evolvement, the organisation and division of the Hungarian railway company from the establishment of the Hungarian Royal Railways till World War II. In the following part the Author is discussing in detail the division, salary and social life of the railway officers and the organisation of their associations and clubs. The publication of the officers' journals was commenced in 1872, at the establishment of the National Association of the Hungarian Civil Servants. The Journal of the Club of the Hungarian Railway and Shipping Club and furthermore the Weekly of the Railway and Shipping escorted the Club during its whole existence and moreover it was published between the two world wars, too. Dr. Valéria Czene: "The Source Collection Of Special Literature Of Environment Protection In The Transport (1969-1979)." The Author compiled in her paper the source collection of special literature of the environment protection researches for a decade concerning transport, being an important part of the transport science. The period between 1969 and 1979 is the era of commencement of the scientific activities concerning environment protection. The material has been arranged according bibliography, dictionaries, encyclopedia, laws, resolutions, manuals, technical books, notes, dissertations, articles of journals. Part III From The Collections Of The Transport Museums Sándor Bálint: "The Oldest Automobile Of The Museum." The paper introduces one of the most precious treasures of the Museum, the Peugeot motor vehicle for the transport of parcels. The Author provides a brief review about the history of the Peugeot factory, the origin of which may be traced back to the 15th century and furthermore about Armand Peugeot, who began to manufacture internal combustion engines and cars after the production of the velocipedes. Peugeot is the oldest French car building factory existing even today. In the further part of the paper the Author describes in detail the construction and operation of the 442
