Mockerjee, Keeper of the Birla Academy of Art and Culture opened to the public in January 1967, S. Gupta, Director of the Gurusaday Museum and, last but not least, to Professor Dr. Suniti Kumar Chatterji, National Professor of India in Humanitis, great friend of many years to our museum and the Hungarian orientalists. In Bhuvaneswar he was very kindly received by Professor P. Pradhan, Professor M. N. Das, K. S. Behara, Assistant and R. M. Nande, Receptionist of the University. For the help extended to him in Banaras he is very much indebted to Professor Dr. Devaraja, Dean of the College of Indology, Dr. Lallanji Gopal, Director of the Archaeological Department of the College of Indology and his collègue, O. P. Tandon, Dr. A. Krishna, Director of the Bharat Kala Bhavan and his keeper, V. Krishna, Dr. Ratuli, Director of the Student Welfare Organization of the Hindu University, Professor Gopinath Kaviraja, retired Professor of the Sanscrit College who was very kindly receiving him. His stay in Agra was greatly faciliated by K. Agravala, Registrar of the University and his secretary, V. M. Khanna. In the Mathura Museum he was guided by J. K. Mistra. In Delhi he was most kindly received by Mrs. Kapila Vatsyayan, Chief of the External Relations Division, Ministry of Education, T. S. Krishnamurti, Deputy Secretary of the Cultural Division, Ministry of Education, Dr. C. Sivaramamurti, DirectorGeneral of the National Museum, A. Ghosh, Director-General of Archaeology, D. Mitra and B. K. Thapar, Directors of the Archaeological Survey of India, B. C. Sanyal, Secretary-General of the Lalit Kala Academy and his secretaries, J. Sultan Ali and Jaya Appasamy, H. Gade, K. S. Kulkarni, the late Dr. Charles Fábri. He is also thankful to the Registrars of all Universities visited by him for their kind hospitality. Tibor Horváth could also visit Iraq as the organizer of the exhibition of Contemporary Hungarian paintings from 20 th September until 14 th of October. The exhibition was arranged in the National Museum of Modern Arts by the Director, Mrs. Al-Bekri, opened by Dr. Malik Dohan Al-Hassan, Minister of Cultural Affairs and Public Welfare on September 23 rd . During the week when the exhibition was on, many visitors attended it. His stay in Baghdad was a good opportunity for Tibor Horváth to visit the museums there, especially the new Iraq Museum which was opened in November 1966. He could also call on some artists and see their works. Dr. Faisal El-Wailly, the Director-General of Antiquities most kindly organized his excursions to visit Samarra, Tell esSawwan, Hatra, Mosul, Arbil, Ukhaidir and Kufa. In the last place the new
