These are variously linked with the units of the former Hungarian People's Army, the Workers' Militia, the Border Guards, the Internal Armed Force, and other organisations connected with home defence. This number will soon increase with the arrival of certain albums that still belong to the Pre-1945 Photograph Archive. In the essay data relating to the albums are published. The introduction is followed by an Excel table that gives nine pieces of information regarding each album: the number, dimensions, the topic, the military formation and its code-number, the location in connection with the unit or the event, the date of the event, the number of pictures, and finally, the place of storage. It should be emphasised that the reader will find an abridged version, for reasons of extent. Further data, however, may be sought for in the Post-1945 Photograph Archive. In several cases there are more details about certain events and special concerns, e.g. military bands, close order drills, parades, regulation technical accessories, pictures portraying workers' militiamen, border guards or policemen, ceremonies, trainings, cultural programmes, etc. In a separate column, the names, posts and ranks of people (only officers) occurring in the albums are displayed. Certainly, there are still a lot of question marks (in the literal sense of the word), which means that the published material is yet to be elaborated, but the possibility to search from many aspects is given to a certain extent. FOTOALBEN IN DER FOTOSAMMLUNG DES HEERESGESCHICHTLICHEN MUSEUMS NACH 1945 In der Fotosammlung nach 1945 befinden sich zur Zeit mehr als 600 Fotoalben, die auf unterschiedliche Art und Weise mit Einheiten und Abteilungen und höheren Divisionen der einstigen ungarischen Volksarmee, der Kampfgruppen, der Grenzwache des Innenministeriums, der inneren Ordnungskräften, des ungarischen Landesverteidigungsverbandes und sonstigen Organisationen der Landesverteidigung verbunden waren. Diese Zahl wird noch durch jene Alben weitersteigen, die zur Zeit noch den Bestand der Kollektion des Fotoarchivs vor 1945 bilden, und hier ihren endgültigen Platz bekommen werden.
