the "Hungarian" style, which was brought about by Alajos Hauszmann at the end of the 19th century. Thus, there are three courses of the "Hungarian" style in Hauszmann's interpretation: 1. Hungarian historicism: the infusion of international historical styles with Hungarian motifs. This can be seen mostly on the ceiling stucco-motifs of the salons, on some of the details of the Saint Stephen-Hall, and in the decoration of different accessories. 2. National traditionalism: the usage of historical motifs preserved in different Hungarian historical relics. This is characteristic of the Hunyadi-Hall's decoration, which although refers to Benedetto da Maiano, shapes 16th century relics from Kolozsvár into quattrocentisms. 3. Jugendstil "naturalized" through folkloric floral motifs. This is typical of the peasant house, built by Ödön Faragó in the southern fort garden. The master builder gave way to the "modem, subjective style" only in respect to the originally rustic, garden-like character of the place.
