serving as colonel in the army of Charles II of Spain. He probably enrolled voluntarily to the imperial army in 1686. Some say Károly himself recommended him to Leopold I. In Buda he was serving under Charles, Due of Lotharingia He was wounded in the unfortunate siege. Emperor Leopold I himself admitted his merits in a letter written to Charles and recommended him to the favour of Queen Mariana. We find him back in Spain, in 1688 where he again used his military skills. The estates were partly ruined, partly in debt, and not caring about the land, left that to his sister. He died suddenly in 1690 leaving no descendant behind. The baronial title and the majorat was inherited by the oldest son of his father's sister, Miguel Fenollet. They tried to resettle the estate economically. Olocau was an estate of the Fenollet-Vilaragut family until 1871.
