Borhy had analysed the scale armour breastplates from Brigetio, or perhaps from Carnuntum, preserved in the Hungarian National Museum, from Orgovány, from Carnuntum and Musov. Judging from the conformity of minute details, certain similarities and isncriptions on the plates, he came to the conclusion that they may have been made in the same workshop. According to the description of the author, the helmet had been found among the remains of a heating system. On the basis of the ceramics found together with the helmet, the latter was dated to the lst-2nd centuries, although the author admitted, that the other part of the finds are dated to the période before 230. The excavator insists on his early dating in his further publications as well. This helmet type first appears at the end of the 2nd century, and is still in use during the first half of the 3rd century. 27. ROBINSON 89-106. 28. A theilenhofeni sisakon talált feliratok alapján, amelyek a sisak viselőjéről, ideiglenes tulajdonosáról, valamint egységéről nyújtanak információt, egyértelműen eldönthető, hogy nem tiszti sisak volt. From the inscriptions found on the Theilenhofen helmet, giving informations about its temporary owner and his unit, we can establish unambiguously, that it was not an officer's helmet. 29.
