topographic determination. On the other hand, their evaluation in respect of the history of art, supports the earlier outlined picture, according to which the Romanesque buildings of Óbuda were related with the other significant edifices of Hungary of that time. The 14th century carvings found in the course of the works of uncovering the Clarissa convent and the queen' s castle, as well as the second provostry church could be well dated by documentary data, consequently, they are of high value in an art historical respect. The imported ceramic vessel turned up among the minor finds is a proof of the commercial relations of the 13-14th century town. Out of the uncovered edifices the presentation of several significant groups of buildings will be possible in the new residential settlement, thus that of the Franciscan monastery, of a large-size Roman public building, of the medieval chapel and of the horseshoe shaped tower of the Roman fort. The church and a part of the convent of the Clarissa nuns respectively, of further the two-storied medieval building at No. 158. Lajos Street are going to be displayed as well. (Figures: 4-5) 40
