két út - a via sagularis és a via principalis járószintje alatt is megtaláltunk. Ez a humuszos, faszenes földfeltöltés az 1. útfelületen keletkezett réteg volt. A 2. útréteg alatt talált észak-déli csatorna fedlapjára az útréteg kavicsos járószintje ráhúzódik, tehát a csatorna építése megelőzte a 2. útszint kialakításának az idejét. A csatorna szintje, ami északi irányban, a kapu mögött haladva emelkedik, már vágja az 1. út köves rétegét. Nagy valószínűséggel az 1. útrétegen talált vastag faszenes, humuszos földfeltöltés a vastag faragott kőtömbökből, aljzat nélkül létrehozott csatorna építését megelőző földmunka emléke. Az 1. útréteg feltárása alkalmával az út felületéről gazdag kerámiaanyagot, bőr talpmaradványt és vas talpszegecseket tártunk fel. Néhány évvel korábban egy régi kutatóárok betöltését követve már ráakadtunk erre a rétegre. (KOCSIS 2000, 97) Elbontva a 8-12 centiméter vastag köves, kavicsos föld alkotta 1. útréteget, alatta a V-14-III. és a IV szelvényben is 80-120 centiméter átmérőjű kerek beásásokat, illetve azok maradványát találtuk. Betölfound a thick, humic earth fill containing ash and charcoal, from which numerous grey, stamped bowl fragments were recovered made in the pottery workshops operating under the aegis of Resatus' and Pacatus' workshops. 5-III, where it was already the surface of the víű sagularis. We found a 15-20 cm thick earthy, pebblv road remaining and, underneath, a 20 cm thick road foundation of fist-sized stones and pebbles. The above-mentioned humic earth fill with charcoal lay under this road foundation. It was also found a few meters to the north, under the floor levels of the two roads, the via sagularis and the via principalis. This humic earth fill with charcoal was deposited on road surface 1. The pebbly floor level of the road layer extended over the cover of the north-south running channel found under road layer 2. It means that the construction of the channel preceded the development of road surface 2.
