Nagytétény-CAMPONA 2003 Nagytétény-CAMPONA 2003 (Budapest, XXII. ker., Úttörők útja 13/a, Hrsz.: 232504) 2003 július 14-ét követően tovább folytatódott Budapest XXII. kerületében, Nagytétényben a Campona erőd kilencedik évadba lépő ásatása és megelőző feltárása. Az idei kutatásokkal egyrészt, hasonlóképpen az elmúlt időszak feltárásaihoz, a régi ásatási eredmények és azok pontos helyszíneinek azonosítása mellett a közeljövőben kialakítandó Campona-Régészeti Park tervezéséhez szükséges adatokat kívántuk tovább bővíteni, másrészt a helyszínre látogató 19. Nemzetközi Limeskongresszus résztvevőinek ismét feltártuk és láthatóvá tettük a korábbi évek hitelesítő ásatásainak a föld alatt jól megőrződött eredményeit. Az idén tovább folytattuk az erőd keleti főkapuja, a porta principalis sinistra körzetében az előző években megkezdett kutatásokat. Ujabb adatokat nyertünk a via principalis és az erődfalat belülről követő út, a via sagularis kereszteződésében levő észak-déli csatornáról, a csatorna alatti 1. útrétcgről, valamint az út alatti palánk periódusról. A via praetona, a principia déli oldalához csatlakozó részén, a korábbi ásatások téliesítésének eltávolítása során újabb adatokat nyertünk a Dunához vezető út későrómai hasznosításhoz. The investigations concentrated this year, just as in previous years, on authentication of old excavation results and pinpointing exact find locations, and on obtaining more data for the Campona - Archaeological Park planned for the near future. At the same time, we again uncovered the remains uncovered during the authenticating excavations of previous years, excellently preserved under the earth, in order to show them to the participants in the 19 th International Limes Congress, who visited the site. We carried on investigations started the last year in the region of the porta principalis sinistra, the eastern mam gate of the fort. We obtained new data on the north-south oriented channel at the intersection of the via principalis and the via sagularis, which ran along the interior side of the fort wall. We also learned more about road layer 1 lying beneath the channel and the timber period lying under the road. New data emerged after the protecting winter covering had been removed on the Late Roman utilisation of the road leading to the Danube on the via praetoria where it met the southern side of the principia.
